The new watch passport, presented at the 2024 edition of Watches & Wonders Geneva, the grande messe of watchmaking, adds to the current Watch Certificate™ certification offering.

Simpler, quicker and more accessible, this passport makes it possible to link a watch to its own unique passport, making it easier to keep track of the watch.

Although expertise is not included, it can be obtained at a later stage. Registered in the blockchain as an NFT, this passport is forgery-proof and scalable. It can be edited by an authorized partner of the Watch Certificate™ network and serves as an entry key to all complementary services.

What is the purpose of this watch passport?

Firstly, it attests to the very existence of your watch. In addition, it registers its serial number in the blockchain, acting as an unalterable piece of identification. In the event of theft, the passport enables you to immediately blacklist the watch, making it difficult to resell on all major channels.

This new safety standard is aimed at all watch owners, as well as watchmaking professionals such as service centers, manufacturers, retailers and watchmakers.

Offering enhanced protection and unrivalled traceability, the Watch Certificate™ Watch Passport meets the needs of watch enthusiasts and professionals worldwide.
