Workshop authentication
Workshop authentication involves a quick inspection by a watchmaker in an approved Watch Certificate™ workshop.
Objective: To verify the authenticity of a watch.
The result: a Watch Passport with a free text section where the workshop shares its observations.
Use case: Reassure a buyer when selling a genuine watch, or refuse a counterfeit received from a market platform as part of the return window.
Full certification
Full certification combines a detailed inspection by a watchmaker in an approved Watch Certificate™ workshop with validation by a Watch Certificate™-approved expert.
Objective: Provide in-depth evaluation, including authenticity and condition scores, and identify counterfeit components.
Result: A Watch Passport with :
- Authenticity score (/100)
- A condition score (/100)
- Detailed descriptions of each component (e.g. hands, dial) with supporting images.
Official recognition: Signed by an expert, this document proves :

Use: Often used for high-value watches to prove value to an insurer, or to contest fraudulent sales of partially counterfeit watches.
Certified appraisal
An approved appraisal, validated by an expert, costs €49 for the watch owner. It is exclusively available to Watch Passport AND authentication holders (either Workshop Authentication or Full Certification), as it is based on a professional inspection and photos from an approved workshop. The estimate may be updated over time.
Objective: Assess the current market value of a watch.
Result: An updated value.
Use case: Proving the value of a watch to an insurer, for example.

Watch Certificate™ includes blacklisting functionality available to both professionals and consumers, even on freemium plans.
Result: information on the stolen watch is shared with the brand, major online platforms and major auction houses.
