Insuring your watch has long been a headache. Easy to steal and difficult to trace, traditional insurers only cover it at home, never when it is being worn.
Watch Cover innovates with comprehensive all-risk insurance dedicated to protecting watches, both at home and when worn outside, against damage, theft, or assault.
This system is based on unique technology that allows the watch to be reported stolen and blacklisted.
This insurance program is operated by the broker CLEVERand the insurer HISCOX.
In the event of a covered incident, Watch Cover takes care of everything and does not apply any deductible. So you don't have to worry about losing value when wearing your watches.
Travel with peace of mind. Your watch is fully covered, at home and abroad, worldwide.
Watches insured by Watch Cover benefit from coverage tailored to their actual value.

Comprehensive home insurance policies cover valuables only under limited circumstances: generally only at home, often requiring that they be stored in a safe, with limited coverage limits and compensation that takes the item’s age and wear into account. Watch Cover is a specialized policy that covers your watch at its appraised value, anywhere, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the policy.
Watch Cover covers: - theft by assault, burglary, and pickpocketing, - accidental breakage and damage to the case, crystal, or strap resulting from an impact, - accidental damage affecting the movement’s operation. Standard exclusions apply (including normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, intentional damage, and unexplained disappearance). The complete list of coverage and exclusions is provided in the General Terms and Conditions.
No. Watch Cover provides coverage with no deductible: in the event of a covered claim, no out-of-pocket expenses apply, up to the agreed value specified in the policy and subject to compliance with the terms of coverage (including the preventive measures outlined in the policy).
You can file a claim online in just a few minutes through your Watch Certificate™ account. The process takes up to 2 business days in the event of theft (a police report is required) and up to 5 business days for other claims. Once the file is complete (claim, supporting documents, requested items), the average time for compensation or repair coverage is 15 days from the date the compensation amount is agreed upon. When the watch is associated with a Watch Certificate™ with an up-to-date agreed value, the process is significantly expedited, as the identification and valuation details are already on file.
Your watch is insured based on an agreed value, which is a compensation amount mutually agreed upon at the time of enrollment and specified in the policy, based on the Watch Certificate™. Unlike compensation based on the declared value or an expert’s appraisal on the date of the loss, the agreed value is not subject to dispute. Since the market value of certain models changes over time, you can request an update to the agreed value at any time through Watch Certificate™ services in order to adjust your policy. This update results in an adjustment to the corresponding premium.
Yes, subject to the terms of the contract. The preventive measures required at home (safe, security locks, alarm, etc.) are a condition of coverage for incidents occurring at home. For theft occurring outside the home, the specific conditions regarding the wearing of the watch apply (including theft involving a clear act of aggression, filing a police report, and, where applicable, the absence of negligence on the part of the insured). In other words: the absence of a safe at home does not preclude coverage for a loss occurring outside the home, but other coverage conditions specific to losses occurring outside the home must be met.
Taking out a Watch Cover policy covers your watch both at home and when you’re out and about, subject to the terms of the policy. You can therefore, if you wish, ask your home insurer to remove the watch from the list of valuables or to adjust the corresponding “valuables” coverage limit. The impact on your home insurance premium depends on your policy and your insurer: we recommend that you contact them to find out the exact terms and consequences. Also, keep in mind that other valuables may remain covered under your home insurance and may require an appropriate coverage amount.
Protect your watch against everyday mishaps with simple, transparent insurance tailored to its value.
